Fast Development Cycle Supported by Comprehensive Documentation and API
Many of the world’s largest companies use Panopticon data visualizations to help their business users navigate through huge amounts of data quickly and make more informed decisions. Panopticon’s SDK lets you tightly integrate an array of visualizations into your proprietary applications.
Panopticon Developer offers a lot more than any traditional chart library. It includes a pluggable mechanism for visualizations which makes it very easy to add new visualizations in the future without having to make substantial changes to your existing implementations. We are constantly developing new visualizations that will provide your users with more choices to help them in their work. The Panopticon Developer SDK is built for enterprise level deployment and designed using established best practices for information visualization.
Panopticon Developer is available in .NET and Java and may be embedded in HTML-only, thin client, or thick client applications. Programmers can use the language of their choice to integrate real-time visual data analysis into their own applications. The SDK includes a robust yet flexible Streaming OLAP data model designed to accept real-time data streams, an application programming interface (API), and a set of controls – along with comprehensive documentation that explains every aspect of how to use the software.
The SDK allows you to completely customize the look and feel of the GUI so that the visualizations match the look and feel of the rest of your application. Use the Panopticon SDK to:
- Provide improved decision support tools to users
- Create comprehensive graphical reporting and presentation tools
- Refresh the look and feel of legacy applications
The Panopticon development team uses the same SDK that we make available to our customers to build our own Explorer Windows desktop product and Enterprise web-deployed software.
Plug-In Architecture Simplifies Adding New
Data Connections & Visualizations
Our extremely powerful Visualization Engine is central to the architecture of Panopticon Developer. This is the framework that captures changes in your source data as wel as user commands and drives our dynamic visualizations. This unique Plug-In Architecture allows you to build an application and then implement new data connectors and visualizations without having to re-write the entire application. We are constantly working to develop new data connectors for commonly used sources as well as new interactive visualizations that help people understand different types of data. The SDK currently supports four different visualizations: Treemaps, Stack Graphs, Barseries, and Horizon Graphs.
Fast Development Cycle = Fast ROI
Our Panopticon Developer SDK is designed to be easy to learn and use. This is a complete kit with everything you need, including comprehensive technical information that helps you understand the best ways to work in the Integrated Development Environment as well as a high level user manual. We provide a large number of working examples that show the simplest way to embed the visualizations in your applications. Most developers are up and running in a few days and are delivering applications with embedded visualizations in less than two weeks. The combination of the value provided by our visualizations plus this low risk, fast development cycle means that you will achieve your ROI very quickly.

Comprehensive SDK
Panopticon Developer is a set of components that enables you to integrate Panopticon visualizations into your own applications. The SDK supports true real-time streaming data and large databases and gives your developers full control of update rates. It can handle enormous amounts of data. You can display useful information about 100,000 items at the same time – and all of those items can be updated in real time – as fast as 5000 updates per second!
The Developer SDK’s components support comprehensive, interactive visual analysis and monitoring. The extensive range of controls and functions means that you can provide your users with the most comprehensive set of interactive visual analysis and monitoring tools possible. This toolset allows developers to provide their users with a powerful user interface and an effective visual business intelligence system on a tight development schedule.
