Publish web based heat maps of your own data with Map Builder

Stockholm, Sweden, January 13, 2003 – Panopticon, the heat mapping provider, today announced Enterprise Web Solution 3.0. This release will be generally available in February. It builds on the latest version of Panopticon's Heat Mapping toolkit, which incorporates several patent pending features.

The Panopticon's Enterprise Web Solution 3.0 is a comprehensive heat mapping solution targeting financial institutions. "It is now easier than ever to make data come alive as heat maps are accessible from Internet or your intranet. With the new Map Builder tool, you can have a complete, scalable and stable heat map application with your own critical business information ready and accessible from the web after a few hours of preparations," said Markus Skyttner, Panopticon's Chief Technology Officer.

Panopticon Enterprise Web Solution is a system which can be used to create distributed heat map applications, which can be accessed using Internet technologies. The product offers easy creation and deployment of complete production grade web-based heat mapping applications for the enterprise through a new tool called the Map Builder. No programming skill is required to install and run the system.

The product is a platform independent and modular client-server system, which uses the Panopticon Heat Mapping Toolkit for front end rendering of heat maps in the client. The server adds critical enterprise grade features such as multiple data source connectivity, configuration of multiple language locales, and more.

The system includes an administration tool which can be used for quickly creating complete Internet enabled heat map applications with built-in support for features such as caching, multiple languages, tracking of usage statistics, and configurable look and feel in the client(s). The system is delivered as a Java web module, ready for instant deployment in any servlet container.

The pluggable design makes it possible to extend the system easily, for example by adding custom built modules for exporting heat maps in certain formats or by adding connectivity modules which provide access to proprietary data sources.
