Visualize changes over time using Line Graphs
Line Graphs are one of the most commonly used data visualizations. They are easy to understand and are a great way to communicate important comparative information about changes in data over time. They work especially well when comparing ten or fewer datasets. For larger numbers of data sets, try using our Horizon Graph instead.
This Line Graph is displaying one year of performance for funds holding a specific equity. Each fund is represented by a different color. The Y axis is based on percentage changes, making it easy to compare the relative performance of each sector. The Breakdown controls at the top of the graph allow users to select between Relative Performance and Absolute Performance views of the same data.
Simple but highly functional way to visualize time series data
Panopticon's Line Graph information visualizations give you many different options for setting up and displaying your data. You can configure them so that the X and Y axes relate to time or other quantitative factors. You can use color or line type to distinguish between the various datasets being displayed, which makes it easier to do comparisons.
Perfect addition to executive dashboards
Line Graphs are simple, intuitive information visualizations that are often used in Executive Dashboards and presentations. Line Graphs are particularly useful when you have a limited number of series to compare, or even when you need to examine the performance for a single set of data. They are an excellent data visualization to use in conjunction with our Treemap and Heatmap tools since they provide a different perspective on the same set of data.
Supported in all Panopticon products
All of our products — the EX enterprise application, the Developer SDK and our RDK/Rapid Development Kit — support Line Graph data visualizations.
